You can't see JPEGs? An internet standard for image files?
Or, are you saying that Imageshack is blocked on your computer?

Guys,
Read this thread. Please, reread some of your friendly forum members' comments. Then learn a few things:- I have a ton of forum threads on GWO because, years ago, in another life, I used to work for another of their sites. I believe my totals have carried over. Check my join date there. Based on Sents' "logic," though, I guess I should be there more!
- I have a lot of posts on TGH because they'be been around for something close to 3 years. You can check my join date there, although I believe they've had a reset so it might not be as far back as in fact it was.
I have tried to increase my posting here lately, because I really like Inde, and I think Guru is a great site. However, the quality of the posts in this thread is shameful. It's sort of like spitting on someone and then asking why she doesn't come around. And no one seems to have protested -- no one seems to have realized the sexist comments, unfair comparisons of participation, and general immaturity (in some) might just make me feel a tad unwelcome.

What format are you speaking about? Imgshack not working for you? It's in .jpg format, because .bmp would be too large, and I would have to chop it into sections because Imgshack has a size limit. Just click on the picture in the OP to view it, or try saving it to your computer.

I think she has been at GWO since 1998. At least I saw on her reg. date.
And for the end of event event, I think it will be starting pretty late, but I think she said they will be catching it on video clip to upload to the gallery at the official GW site. I'm not 100% sure on this, so don't expect it and miss out purposely. Go and take some pictures.
As for Auctions houses, I asked her that not last night, but the night before, and I know it's a question asked many times, and she will always say it's on board, but they "don't have a timeline for it yet". Probably might not be in CH2, I think CH3 is where it's at. Holiday events most likely will not happen from now until CH3, due to the fact they are working on CH3. However, she said that even though they are planning on release around Dec, they will still try to have holiday events, even at release time. The same goes for skill set hotkeys; no timeline but probably for CH3. I feel like they are feeling the need to rush CH3 since they want an 'expansion' every 6 months, and everything comes second. I am hoping they have a seperate team working on CH3 and another working on the suggested additions. I asked her a question that has probably been asked before, and that is if they are planning to implement a sort of 'quest list', that lists all the quests you have complete and not completed. It's sort of much easier this way, to finish the ones you haven't done, especially since there are tons of NPCs around and some are pretty obscure. I'm a completist -- which is why I would like this option. It would extent the game a bit. She didn't answer, so hopefully someone knows the answer to this one, or I am going to ask her again.
As for the secret pet, a giant tortoise is a good guess. Others were thinking a Panda. Who knows what is in store. Gaile always gives us riddles or dodges the question for obvious reasons. And for the end of event event, I am thinking it is fireworks as well.

Everyone, Guild Wars Guru opened their doors in April of 2005. We did not come on board with GW OGaming, GWOnline.net, and The Guild Hall. We came into the picture later. We have been open for almost a year... the other fansites have been open for 2 and 3 years.
Now I am proud of the fact that this site has become the largest community on the net for Guild Wars, despite opening significantly later then the rest. That is why there are less dev posts here. Alex Weekes and Gaile Gray are on this site regularly looking through posts. They post often.
And of the posts that I've just gone through and deleted in this thread, absolutely ridiculous. I don't run a fanboi site here but if some of you can't contribute to a thread, ask or answer questions, then think twice before hitting the Post button as it will be deleted.

Oh.. action figures... now if they had armor we could swap out, just like our characters, that would be awsome and I could justify playing barbie dolls with them when I'm not online And maybe... my daugher would start showing an interest in the game, she does like the character creation part.
Ok, so I'm dreaming... but come on.. a female mesmer figure would be soo nice to have. I've gotten as far as considering buying a porcelain doll and making the armor myself... *goes off into dreamworld*... ok, I should REALLY look into that.

Yeah. How dare people make friends and chat in a district? That totally means they think they own the district! And we don't speak in team, because you can only make parties of 6 and there are usually more of us. Beside, we shouldn't have to talk in team; if it bothers you that much, feel free to, you know, go somewhere else.
Jeez.

/follows the 'I like Inde' parade. Seriously, Inde is a good Guru Headmaster.
Sorry I haven't been able to write much lately Inde, haven't had much time for that. Really sorry, not sure if I can find the time soon, but I'll see what I can do.

I think a large part of the GWG community was maybe, like me, playing and enjoying the FPE event so much, that GWG got a little less attention.
Seriously all, quit on the 'ANet doesn't love PvE players'/'ANet doesn't love PvP players'/ 'ANet hates farmers' / 'ANet hates .....' threads. Not constructive, and more often then not, there is little argumentation behind these threads.
Also stop the negative talk on GWO. They do an excellent job at logging the Gaile/Frog chats, so why trashtalk?

This kind of thing is the only reason I ever visit GWOnline, and I feel it is something that the GWGuru forum could really use. Many people don't know about everything Gaile is saying on the Guru forum.
So once again, thank you, so much, for posting this.

I know what you mean, when I first sarted GW I used to go to gwonline but now I spend most of the free time at work at guru and check gwonline for the Gaile chat (althought I do not read the whole thing).
What if you guys create a forum for Gaile chat and this way people can post there when they get a log of the chat.

Good idea and make it a sticky. You could also give Anet/Gaile their own sticky that only they and the admins could post in.

Being new to GW I've wandered around reading any forum I could find. Choose GWGuru because of the overall maturity level of the posters.
I also came from a game where it's quite fashionable to constantly bash the GMs. (I toss any staffer, devs, etc. into the catagory of Game Master, tho it may not be correct) I have a lot of personal friends that became GMs and staff members of the game I played, and let me tell you.. the crap they are dished from players is not to be believed.
Game staffers don't have to post on the fansites. Miss Gray can pop into the actual game to do her Community Liason work. That she, and the others, take the time to answer questions or simply drop us tidbits is a plus.
You don't have to be a 'suck-up' if you pass along a 'way to go, ANet!'. They are obviously doing something right if you're spending the time playing their game.
It's been refreshing to see posters answer the whinners with, 'you don't like it, move on'. I like the fact that Gaile Gray can basically say..'I don't come here to be trashed.'
Constructive criticisms/suggestions are always welcome, but prefacing it with, 'what are you, on crack?!' and/or other insults isn't going to get you anywhere.
Thanks Gaile, for taking the time to drop in on us from time to time!

That sounds like a good idea, especially since it sounds like this thread went off course...

Not sure if Gaile Gray will ever get to read this, BUT...
1) It might be too little too late, but I agree with Gaile that the behavior is uncalled for and foolish.
2) Not to excuse the behavior, but in a larger site, it is inevitable that the worst dross co-exists along with the gems (meaning that you'll get really good members as well as really bad ones).
3) Personally, I do like (and appreciate) the efforts that Gaile has been doing with Community Relations. Basically, it's a somewhat thankless job and I have long realized that if I had her job, I might do it differently, but I don't believe that I'd be able to do it better.
Hope we'll see more of Gaile at Guru...
